The Super Cruise Returns
at 3:30
Back by
popular demand! At 3:30 on Saturday, our Cruisers will take a
spin around Clintonville as the "Super Cruise" returns, thanks to
Mobile Electronics, 4368 Indianola Ave., our Super
Cruise Sponsor. Cruisers will leave the park, head north on High
Street to Morse Rd, to Indianola, to Arcadia, and back up High Street
to the Park. Sorry, they won't be smokin' the tires, our
cruisers always obey traffic laws.
Spectator Admission is
Free, Parking at New Rec Center Lot With Shuttle Service
As always, there is no spectator admission charge, but our Cruise
committee has added some amenities for our spectators. Spectator
parking will be available in the new lot behind the Whetstone
Recreation Center (enter of Hollenback Dr.) and in the lot just past
the tennis courts. Thanks to the sponsorship of Southwick,
Good, and Fortkamp Funeral Chapel,
there will be a free
shuttle bus to take spectators to the lower lot and all of the
activities. There will also be handicapped parking available at
the Whetstone casting pond lot. Spectators who need handicapped
parking should enter from Olentangy Blvd.
Trophies, Trophies,
Trophies
Each year
the judging at Cruise the Ville has been "just for fun" rather than
technical. Our panel of judges will be looking over the cars
between 2:30 and 3:30 and tabulating their votes.
Following the Super Cruise,
when the cars return to the park, our committee will award 50
trophies. Our trophy sponsors are Clintonville Automotive
Repair Service (C.A.R.S.) 585 Oakland Park Ave. and
AutoZone, 3559 N. High St. Our judging committee will also
be setting up a voting booth for the "People's Choice" trophy at the
Headquarters tent.
