Chair of the Board Reflects on Past Two Years

(Editor’s Note: Shari Carroll will be leaving office at the end of
December, after serving as Chair of the Board for two years. Under
her leadership the Chamber membership has grown, programs have
expanded, and the Chamber has truly become the voice of business in
Clintonville.)
from the Chair of the Board...
One
of the best lines I have ever heard from a long time Clintonville
resident is “Don’t you know, Clintonville is the center of the
universe.” The beautiful thing about that statement is that the
folks who live and/or work here live it and believe it every day.
In
the past two years as Chair of the Clintonville Area Chamber of
Commerce I have had the honor and privilege of working with many of
those fine folks. There is so much community energy to be found
here. Folks live and work in Clintonville with a passion to continue
to grow and improve their neighborhood. It is a pleasure to walk into
a local business and feel the energy of where you live. Drive around
the neighborhoods and business areas, especially on a Saturday
morning, and feel the energy. Clintonville is thriving because of
you.
We
have experienced tremendous growth in our business districts in the
past few years with more business wanting to open here every day.
Please continue your support of these
new businesses and as well as the business that have been a part of
Clintonville for a very long time. Using your Clintonville Area
Directory will be the best tool for locating them as well as our web
site, located at
www.clintonvillechamber.com
as new businesses are joining all the time.
I have always believed as a Realtor that as the business district
goes, so goes the residential area and as the residential area goes,
so goes the business district. We are a partnership working together
to grow Clintonville and bring to this area the opportunities that
will best service the community. Consider becoming more involved by
working on one of our committees. Consider asking someone to join you
as a member of the Chamber. I joined because someone asked me and I
am very grateful to them for the invitation.
Past Chairs don’t go away in Clintonville. Next year I will have the
honor of chairing the Chamber’s Senior Leadership Council whose
members are past leaders of your Chamber. So keep your ideas and
thoughts coming my way.
Your energy and input helped me grow as your Chair. Our chamber is
blessed to have such a wonderful staff. Ernie Hartong and Jeannette
Nini are precious assets to us. Thanks to all you for your support.
We are a community of people dedicated to the promotion and
development of the Clintonville area business community and we do it
well as a team.
