 High Street Improvements

The Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce has added this page to our website to assist in keeping businesses and area residents informed on the progress of the High Street Improvements.  The project is scheduled to start in mid-September 2004 and will effect traffic patterns and parking on High Street from Arcadia Ave to Torrence Rd. through September 2005.  This page will have construction schedules, City of Columbus contact information, and alternative parking options, special meeting notices and other important information during the construction phase.

Public Update Meeting Scheduled for April 13th

Paving the Way and the Chamber will host a public meeting on Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. at North Broadway United Methodist Church.  Representatives of the City Transportation Department and the construction contractor will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on the status of the project and the proposed construction schedule for the remainder of the summer.

From the On Site Project Manager

Construction resumed on March 23,2005 and began in Phase 1, Sector 2, on the East side of High Street between Weber and Como.  Work will continue on this side of the road up to Torrence and then cross over to the West side and proceed South toward Arcadia.  Work is expected to be completed this Fall.

Parking will be allowed in the work zones before Weber and after Como however, signage will not be posted.  The City reserves the right to rescind parking in these areas if it becomes a safety hazard.

Beginning Monday, April 11, The Clintonville field office will be open to the public if they wish to review the plans.  These hours will be from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. M-F.  Other times can be made available by scheduling a time through me.  As with last year, please do not remove plans from the office and close the door upon leaving.

A project schedule will be posted in the window at the office building at 3400 N High Street for anyone who is interested in the construction progress.

Should anyone have any questions or issues regarding the construction process, they are free to call me at the number below.

Thanks
